Court records of Yuba County, California, are available through several channels. YubaCourt.us helps find public information about court cases in the county. Public terminals in the courthouse in Marysville also allow viewing case materials on-site.

Yuba Court System & Jurisdictions

In California, there are no district or magistrate courts as in some other states. Instead, each county has a single Superior Court — a court of general jurisdiction that handles all categories of cases. In Yuba County, this role is fulfilled by the Superior Court of California, County of Yuba, located in Marysville.

The court is divided into several divisions depending on the type of case:

  • Criminal Division — felonies (serious crimes) and misdemeanors (less serious offenses), including DUI cases.
  • Civil Division — claims for damages, contract disputes, small claims cases (up to $12,500).
  • Family Law — divorce, child custody, alimony, domestic violence.
  • Probate — inheritance cases, guardianship, conservatorship.
  • Traffic Violations — fines for traffic violations, payable through the court's online portal.

Federal cases (bankruptcy, claims under federal law) are handled by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, not the local Superior Court.

Yuba Court Calendar & Upcoming Hearings

To find out the schedule of hearings for today, tomorrow, or the current week, use the Court Calendar page on the Superior Court's website. Hearing lists are published there by court division.

How to find the necessary hearing:

  1. Go to the Court Calendar page.
  2. Select the type of case or division (criminal, civil, family, etc.).
  3. Specify the date or date range.
  4. The results will show the case number, party names, courtroom, and time.

If you know the case number, it will be faster to use online case access to check the status and scheduled hearing dates. Note: the absence of search results may mean that the case is not under the jurisdiction of the Yuba Superior Court or that the records have not yet been digitized.

How to Get a Copy of a Yuba Court Document

  • In Person: visit the court clerk's office during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30–16:30). Bring the case number or sufficient identification data for the search.
